Fit and Dimensions
Measure the opening, doorways and final appliance footprint. Built-in units can depend on cabinet dimensions, ventilation clearances or mounting brackets.
An appliance that physically fits the opening may still need utility changes that are outside a simple installation.
Existing Connections
Water, drain, electrical and gas connections should already match the appliance or be identified as separate work. New gas piping, plumbing relocation and dedicated electrical circuits are not automatically included.
Old Appliance and Access
Removal, haul-away and moving appliances from another property should not be assumed. Describe where the new and old units are located and whether stairs, elevators or narrow entries affect access.
