Baby proofing is a collection of product installations, not a guarantee that a room becomes risk-free. Gates, cabinet locks, anti-tip hardware and other devices each depend on the product, wall or furniture surface and the way the room is used.
NY-GoodHome handles selected baby-proofing installation requests in Brooklyn and New York City. Call (223) 226-1828 with room photos and links to the products already purchased.
Gates and Room Openings
Pressure-mounted and hardware-mounted gates should not be treated as interchangeable. Stairs and other fall-risk locations may require the installation method specified by the product manufacturer.
Wall or banister conditions should be shown in photos before mounting is planned.
Cabinets, Drawers and Furniture
Cabinet locks and latches need to work with the actual door or drawer construction. Tall furniture may include manufacturer anti-tip hardware that requires wall attachment.
If anti-tip hardware is part of a new furniture assembly project, identify it before the furniture is assembled.
Other Safety Devices
Door guards, corner products and selected outlet covers can be installed according to manufacturer instructions when they fit the approved scope. Electrical work inside outlets is not implied.
Safety Boundary
NY-GoodHome does not claim child-safety certification, pediatric expertise or a guarantee that an installed set of devices eliminates all hazards. The service is installation of selected products in suitable locations.
