Taking down a playset is different from demolition when the goal is to preserve parts for storage or reassembly. Hardware, structural sections and accessories need to be handled in a way that matches what happens next.
NY-GoodHome handles playset disassembly requests in Brooklyn and New York City. Call (223) 226-1828 with photos and explain whether the system will be stored, relocated or replaced.
Why Is the Playset Coming Down?
A playset being discarded can be dismantled differently from one that needs to be rebuilt. If reassembly is planned, parts and hardware should be organized so the second project does not start with an unidentified pile of fasteners.
Transport or haul-away is not automatically included.
Wood, Metal and Condition
Age, rust, rot and damaged fasteners can make disassembly more difficult. A component that is safe to leave in place may not be reusable after it is taken apart.
Send photos of deteriorated or damaged areas in advance.
Relocation Is a Separate Scope
A true relocation includes disassembly, movement to another site and reassembly. Use the Playset Relocation page when that is the goal so access and site readiness can be planned at both locations.
For Playset & Swing Set Assembly & Installation as part of the same project, share that requirement up front so the work can be coordinated.
