Garage racks can be freestanding, wall-mounted or suspended from the ceiling. The product dimensions, intended load and mounting surface need to be understood before holes are drilled.
NY-GoodHome handles garage-rack installation requests in Brooklyn and New York City. Call (223) 226-1828 with the rack model, garage photos and manufacturer mounting requirements.
Wall, Ceiling or Freestanding?
Freestanding racks may be mainly assembly. Wall-mounted racks depend on studs or masonry. Ceiling racks can depend on joist location and clearance above vehicles or garage-door components.
Those systems should not be treated as interchangeable.
Clearance and Utilities
Rack placement must avoid opener tracks, door travel, pipes, lights and electrical panels. Send wide garage photos that show these fixed elements.
Load Requirements
Follow the product’s mounting requirements and rated use. NY-GoodHome does not certify the building structure or promise a load capacity beyond the installed system’s verified conditions.
For Garage Organization, Storage & Cabinet Installation as part of the same project, share that requirement up front so the work can be coordinated.
