Ceiling damage can come from impact, previous fixture work, cracks or water. Because gravity and overhead lighting make surface variation easier to see, the repair method and finish expectations should be clear before work begins.
NY-GoodHome handles ceiling-repair requests in Brooklyn and New York City. Call (223) 226-1828 with wide ceiling photos, close damage images and any known leak history.
What Kind of Ceiling Damage?
Small holes and local cracks can be different from a large soft or sagging area. If water has damaged the ceiling, the source should be resolved before the surface is closed.
A visibly sagging or structurally suspect ceiling should not be treated as an ordinary drywall patch.
Patch or Replace a Section?
Localized damage may use backing and a patch. Larger areas can require replacing board to sound edges before taping and finishing.
If the project is mainly new board installation, use Drywall Installation. If the board is already installed and only seams/compound are needed, use Drywall Finishing.
Finish and Painting
Feathering and sanding prepare the repaired area for the next finish. Existing texture can make blending more difficult. Painting is a separate service unless included in the agreed scope.
