A damaged bathtub can have a surface problem, a leak at a connection or a larger issue involving the surrounding wall and plumbing. Repair and replacement should be separated before demolition begins.
NY-GoodHome accepts bathtub repair and replacement requests in Brooklyn and New York City for scope review. Call (223) 226-1828 with full bathroom photos and close views of the damage.
Repair Existing or Replace the Tub?
Minor hardware or selected surface conditions can be different from a cracked tub body, failed installation or complete renovation. Exact tub material matters because repair methods vary.
NY-GoodHome does not claim specialized refinishing or tub-liner systems unless that capability is confirmed.
Surrounding Tile and Wall Finish
Removing a tub can affect tile, wallboard and waterproofing around it. Those finish areas should be included in the project description instead of assuming the new tub drops into an untouched opening.
Drain, Supply and Fixture Connections
Existing plumbing needs to align with the replacement or be separately modified by an appropriately licensed trade. New drain/supply work is not automatically included.
For a full conversion to a shower, use Tub-to-Shower Conversion rather than treating the job as a simple tub replacement.
Related Tub Enclosure Installation & Repair work can be reviewed separately when it is part of the same project.
