What Fixture Is Being Installed?
Ceiling fixtures, pendants, chandeliers and sconces use different mounting hardware and can place different loads on the electrical box or wall.
Heavy or oversized fixtures should be identified before service because additional support can change the scope.
Existing Box and Wiring
If a compatible fixture already exists, replacement may use the existing electrical point. A new location or damaged wiring can require licensed electrical work beyond product installation.
